Allison Kirkby will step down with immediate effect having accepted the position as President and CEO of Swedish Telia Company AB. The Board of Directors of TDC has initiated a search process for a new CEO, during which Mike Parton, currently Vice Chairman, will act as interim CEO.

Allison Kirkby joined TDC in December 2018 and has over the last 11 months as President and Group CEO delivered significant progress on the strategic ambition to expand investment in national digital infrastructure. She has also strengthened the company’s leading position within digital service solutions with the aim of upholding Denmark’s position as a digital frontrunner. In addition, Allison Kirkby has been instrumental in establishing strong performance cultures in both TDC Group and the two entities, while maintaining a high level of engagement during the transformation process. This positioned the two entities well for the legal separation, which was concluded ahead of schedule in June 2019.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Allison Kirkby for her contribution to TDC. Although her tenure was short, Allison leaves behind an organization that is strategically well positioned and ready to further progress on our mission to build and support an innovative, open model connecting all of Denmark to the digital opportunities of the future. We are very pleased with the progress that has been made transforming and separating the businesses, and as such are fully supportive of Allison’s decision to pursue this new, exciting opportunity,” says Bert Nordberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TDC Group.

Today, TDC consists of two business entities with individual strategies and management teams focused on delivering the best solutions within their individual sectors - TDC NetCo, which is focused on delivering the best mobile network and the fastest landline connections, rolling out fiber and 5G across Denmark and Nuuday, which delivers innovative digital customer experiences and entertainment through brands such as YouSee, TDC Erhverv, Telmore, Fullrate, Hiper, Blockbuster and Firmafon.

“I thank the Board of Directors and my colleagues in the management team for the cooperation and the trust shown. I’m immensely proud of the engagement and dedication shown in TDC NetCo and Nuuday and not least in the Group’s corporate functions to transform the company and uphold and expand TDC Group’s leading national position and ensure Denmark stays in front of the digital evolution,” says Allison Kirkby.

As interim CEO of TDC Group, Mike Parton will, together with the existing Executive Management Team ensure the transformation progress and execution of business strategies continues as planned.

“TDC Group remains committed to the development and strategic progress of the two business entities, and to the execution of our long-term commitment to Denmark. We will continue to do this by increasing our investment in digital infrastructure, such as fiber and 5G, and strengthening our offerings within digital service and security solutions to both private and business customers,” says Mike Parton, Interim CEO of TDC.

As of 25 October 2019, the TDC A/S Executive Management Team consists of interim Group CEO and President, Mike Parton, Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Lasse Pilgaard and Senior Executive Vice President, Stakeholder Relations & Group Chief People Officer, Jens Aaløse.
